I would like to know what's the purpose of this option in Pro and Farm Simulation tab.

Is it for the GM client (lines) perspective and/or for the simulation perspective (loose rating point if played off position) ?

Because if it's suppose to be on client there's no validation made on that.

On off-season, after adding an expansion team and/or moving a team from a conference to another. Those teams does not appear in Wild Card and Conference standing because there's data mismatched/missed in rankingorder table. Added team does not appear while moved team as not the good type value.
