How Do I download web portal line/roster changes prior to simulating games

Hi,

I've updated the league to 3.1.1.1 simulator and all coaches use 3.1.1.1 client.

I'd like to start using the webportal for line changes and roster moves.

So obviously we're going to have a mix of coaches using the client and the web portal.

So my question is:

Where in the simulator does the commissioner (owner who runs league) --- go to click " download all the web portal line/roster changes "

This will need to be done prior to simulating games locally.

Thank you.

Whatever instructions you provide should be updated in Manual on this website.

Thank you!!!

This is just a guess, but if manually download the "DB" file ( database ) file using file zilla and overwrite the file locally before running the games, would that work?

Actually that would only work if all coaches only used the webportal for line changes.

Ignore.

How do i merge changes from webportal into local simulator ?

Thanks

Hi.

If you manually download the DB in the Input Folder, it should work. You can also enable the "Load SQLite Database from Website before Loading Lines Files" option. This option required the Website URL option to be filled to operate. You can get more information in the manual.

Hi,

League - Folder List - I entered our website URL - > www.coachab.com

Then Simulate Tab - Auto Load Lines

Worked perfect, it loaded the files from the input folder that coaches email in.
As well it went to website and merged the line information into the database.

Perfect! And one can do this without simulating a game!

Did we ever figure out how to assign a password to each team so other teams can't change lines?

Thanks!!

THIS IS GREAT! Time to test!

This feature was working in 3.1.0 but in 3.1.1, it was bug. It should be fix in 3.1.2.

Thanks, everything seems to be working very good.

I modified the google chrome to save email files to the input folder.

I entered URL in the right section.

League Owner is very happy with the auto load lines which grabs all the files from input and then the changes from website.

Very happy.

We notice that there is a 3rd string goalie option on the website but not in the editor, assume next version client will have that option?

Are you running with 3 goalies in your roster?

The client will not allow you to dress 3 goalies and the tab where you choose start and backup doesn't have a "3" rd string text box to choose it anyway.

So we have told coaches to ignore 3rd string goalie text box on WEB CLIENT until client software gets updated.

I also believe if you load the simulator there is no "3rd" string goalie option in there anyway under lines section. Assume next client/simulator version may have text box added?

I also assume you would then allow 21 player roster for both pro / farm if you make it that 3 goalies can be used?

Hi.

The option with 3 goalies doesn't work with the WebClient. I'll report it to the WEB Client creator.

Hi,

Another feedback is after simulating a game where by the roster and lines were complete for a team, we checked the web client roster and for some reason the farm roster only had 2 players?

So something happened that caused that?

Not sure if anyone has reported it.

The simulator has the ability to setup your professional and farm rosters/lineups for the next 10 games. If a team don’t make is roster/lines up for the next 10 games, your roster and lines-ups for day #2 are empty and after a game, your empty lines from days #2 will transition to day #1. If you want to disable this option, you can in the option. Check the manual for the option "Disable Multiple Lines in a Row".

Sadly, the Web Client doesn't allow for game #2 to #10 to be configured right now. This feature is only available in the full STHS Client.

Thanks Simon, I think that is what might be happening. I'll have to send your notes (comments) to him.

I just checked my team today and there was like 4 guys on pro even though I sent it all my lines perfectly via client software a day before the game.

So I will try your suggestion, lets hope that check mark is on so we can disable it.

Will keep you posted.

Hi.

I have fixed the issue for 3 goalies via the Web Client. If you are interest in testing the new code, send me an email.
