Special Cap not factored into cap

Post by uubeee »

I have the "Special included in cap" checked in the Finance section of League Options. But it makes no difference if there is any amount in the "special Cap section Value" of the individual teams.

So when a player is bought out. I charge the team 66% of the remaining contract. And put 33% in each year of the special cap value for the team for as many years as the length of the contract. But the cap value never changes for the team. If the special cap value is zero, it's the same cap at if the special cap value is 5000000.

Am I missing something?

Hi.

When looking at your website, you are currently in the pre-season. The salary cap is not enforce or visible in pre-season. Look at the STHS webpage : http://www.thephl.ca/File/2017-PreSeaso ... inance.php

All your Team Estimate is at 0 because you are in pre-season.

Thanks Simon.

I made a copy of the file and pushed it to the regular season. The special cap figure is still not calculating into the cap figure. The cap number did not change 1 dollar even with a special cap figure in there.

I need this to work or guys are basically getting a freebee on buyouts. They pay the 2/3 in cash, but do not see the 1/3 in cap hit.

There is some confusion on my part.

Am I supposed to put a negative value in the special salary section?

A player is bought out. I charge the team 66% and then 33% as a cap hit for the remainder of the contract. So I have been putting in say 1500000 in the special cap section for a player who needs a 1.5 million cap hit for the 33%. Should it be -1500000?

Be advise that Special Cap is not part of the By Day Cap calculation if you use complex Cap calculation in the options. It is just added all season long on the daily cap calculation.. Estimate season salary cap in the STHS should the correct calculation of your CAP by team.
