Sim recalls players to pro for no reason

[2020-08-27 22:39:00] - Larry Creed of Scouts was sent to pro.

Why does the sim recall players by himself because of an injury? In this example, the injured player is a C and STHS moved a D and a G to the pro roster for no reason.

This causes problems as the goalie needs to clear waivers in order to be sent back to the farm.

This kind of player movement should not happen and STHS should not move players by itself unless the GM does not send in a new line file in order to patch the injury holes in the roster and lines.

Are you simulating 2 or more game in row? If yes, the auto-roster function was run and it something give this result.

Paul Fulcher was injure in game 12 simulate at 22:38. This explain why the auto-roster need to be run but sadly, I can't explain why it was run. My only idea was than the Scouts farm played the same day and that might have trigger the full roster check again.

Why does the STHS run the auto roster on the same day as the games after they are played? Is this a bug?

The auto roster should not run automatically (after a game is simmed) unless a GM does not send a new file for his next game (where holes need to be patched). The fact that the STHS does that automatically causes a lot of problems for my league and players that need to clear waivers are sent to the pros without the GM's consent and without even having a chance to fix the roster. The way it happened, the GM is faced with the obligation of sending his player on waivers.

Is there going to be a fix to this? Maybe a check box option for the "automatic" auto roster to not be active when a sim is finished...?

Technically, it shouldn't but it did. As I said, I don't know why. If you send me your league file, I can try to check out but those issue are very hard to reproduced.

As far as recall there's always like that.

I remember that this behavior was a big change for my GM when switching from FHLSim.

I would not have a problem with STHS recalling players automatically, so long as it's not players that have to go through waivers. That causes headaches for the GM because he can lose a player even if he didn't recall that player to the pros...or for me as a Commish because I have to remove the player from waivers because it should not be there in the first place.

If you find a way to reproduced the error, I'll be happy to take a look at it.

Hard for me to try and reproduce an error when I don't know what triggers it and when it can happen.

But if you can add a flag in the code for the simulator not to call up players from Farm to Pro automatically if they are eligible for waivers, that would already solve a lot of headaches.

Have you the "Enforce Correct Lineups (Day #2 to #10)" checked ?

I'd to remove this feature because of something like this. Lineup are applied after the simulation. So if there are empty, there's an injury, a trade, or something like that the auto roster/lineup are run.
