3.1.4 - Salary Cap Hit on Roster Menu

Post by Owen »

On the team roster screens, any player who is on a two-way contract and assigned to the Farm shows a salary cap hit value of what they are paid in the Farm, even if Farm salary is not included in the salary cap. These should be $0 if the function is turned off.

(A player on a one-way contract assigned to the Farm DOES show correctly.)

I believe that this is also the cause of why the "Farm Salary Cap To Date" on the Team Finance output has a value during the regular season, when it should not.

The team roster screen (http://www.elitehockeysim.com/File/2018 ... adWarriors) doesn’t show in salary cap hit but the salary of the player.

Or I don’t understand what you mean. Can you give a player as example?

Settings:
Two-way contracts earn 20% of base when assigned to the Farm
One-way contracts assigned to the Farm count for 0% of the Salary Cap
Salary Cap is a simple calculation based on Year 1 salary
Farm Salary Cap is set to 0

Jay McClement has a one-way salary of $1,100,000. He is paid $1,100,000 regardless of his level but his salary cap hit is $0 because he is assigned to the Farm.

The image on the left is the simulator, which correctly shows his cap hit value at $0 under these settings.
The image on the right is the client, which shows his one-way salary, not the cap hit value, under these settings.

Michael Chaput has a two-way salary of $715,000. He is paid $143,000 and salary cap hit is $0 because he is assigned to the Farm.

In both the simulator and the client, the two-way salary, not the cap hit value, is shown under these settings.

For my second question, what is being calculated for "Farm Salary Cap to Date" when Farm Salary Cap is turned off? Should this not show as $0 on the finance screen in the simulator and in the output?

Hi.

I have fix the three issues you mention.

Fix an issue in the STHS Client where the Player Salary Cap Hit would be incorrect if you had “Pro Salary in Farm / 1 Way Contract Salary Cap” option value to 0.
Fix an issue where the Player Salary Cap Hit would be incorrect for farm player when you had disabled “Farm Included in Salary Cap” option.
Fix an issue where “Farm Salary Cap To Date” value in the STHS Team Finance and legacy html finance would be fill when it should be 0 when you had disabled “Farm Included in Salary Cap” option.
