Leadership and Experience

Post by Baaaaaaaaaaaaah »

Hi. Simon (or anyone else that might know):

Do the team bonuses associated with LD and EX only kick in while a player is on the ice, or so they simply need to be in the lineup? Example, if a guy only plays 8% of the game, would those bonuses only apply to the team during that 8% of the game? Or does the mere fact they are dressed apply the bonuses to the team for the whole game? Or alternatively, am I misunderstanding the bonuses entirely?

On that note...

Does LD and EX only factor into the sim engine when MO is turned on?

If MO is turned off does this mean LD and EX are not used in the sim engine and basically pointless? I heard from another commish that this was the case and I would like to verify it.

Simon, can you answer this?

If MO is turned off, does LD and EX play any part in the simulation?

I will say no except for EX that effect face-offs a little bit, but LD and EX are practically the same rating duplicated and that is unfortunate.

They should be merge to be just one rating.

I don't agree with that. If you take for example the way EX and LD worked in FHL, they had more importance during the playoffs. EX was a good way to give more importance to players who had played more games in the playoffs as opposed to LD which could be given to players who were good role models in their team.

You can have a player with high leadership (90+) and no playoff experience (0 GP) to whom you're going to give a 50 or less EX rating.

I'm bummed out to see that EX and LD do not factor in the playoffs in STHS as they used to in FHL unless you use the morale option...
