Need help with Playoffs

Simon,
I have my NHL Playoffs set to 6 teams, and my # of games set to best of 3. The only issue is when I begin the playoffs - the sim forces a best of 1 series for seeds 3 - 6.
How can I get around this?
Also when I set it to 7 teams, I want the 6 and 7 seeds to play a 1 game "play-in" and then have the winner face the 3 seed, and the 4 seed face the 5 seed.
Could I have something wrong in my settings?
