Positions

So if "Forwards Play All Positions" is turned on, a LW-only player won't be hurt by being put on a RW spot? I always thought "Forwards Play All Positions" was just to allow GMs the ability to place their forwards without being completely restricted to the positions that they are assigned.

The manuel says "Forwards Play All Positions - check this option if you want to have forwards be able to play any of the forward positions without losing ability (if this is not checked a RW plugged in at LW will not perform as well as if he were at RW). This option only applies on 5 vs 5 lines."

If this option works only in 5 vs 5 lines, then in PP or PK players can play in different positions without losing ability? Or in special teams they always lose ability when playing out of position?

In PP or PK players can play in different positions without losing ability. This is correct.

The way we circumvent this in our league is to manually change a player's position to whatever the team wants them to play. No penalty.

Can forwards play the point (D) on the PP without losing ability?

Thanks

^Thanks!

Should have asked at the same time, but just so I'm clear:

Can forwards play defense on PK without losing ability (I realize centres and wings can play out of position)?

Thanks again!
