Can we have some news on the Bar Down Ratings ? Anyone heard if 17-18 will be made ? If so, when ?

Easily some of the best ratings i've had the pleasure of using. Anxiously hoping for a 2017-18 release!

So anyone can confirm ? Will their be a release ?

My league would take them, but we are starting to think about taking others because of the uncertainty...

I'll say there won't be. They were basically taking ours (as they had a subscription) and ripping them off, making a few tweaks and releasing to the public. After a discussion with them, that practice has been kiboshed.

So unless they're doing their own to release, while using the BRHL ratings for their league, I don't anticipate seeing them. For those that used, and liked the ratings, here's our post and information;

Anyway, before getting the 17-18 package, the real NHL need to be at least close of the end of the off-season....

Vegas need to have their player
UFA / RFA need to have their new contract.

Not really usefull to have a package with empty team.......

RATINGS package my man, not brand new league setup. Apples an oranges, though we occasionally do release a new league setup file to our subscribers.

Last season these ratings were released end of June, so still time for them to be released.

No, they are subscription only. Amazes me that with the time a commish puts into the league, they'd rather spend hours/days trying to get new ratings every year, with no idea when they really come out, rather than pay a small amount and have that massive headache taken care of.

Generally speaking, if it's free, you get what you pay for.

Less about the cost for me and my league and more about keeping things consistent if we can. We used Bar Down last year and it produced good results. All things equal - I'd like to maintain that consistency.
So one shouldn't assume this is a cost issue.
