Playoff Sweeps Very Common?

Hello,
In our league there has been a lot of playoff sweeps and 5 game series over the past two seasons. Is this common for the sim? In our last playoffs, there were 6 series sweeps and so far this season, there have been 4 in the first round. Are there any settings that can be changed to prevent this huge disparity? Thanks.
