Tu dois ouvrir le fichier "simonThockeysimulator.exe" à travers Mono. Moi, j'ouvre une Shell Mono et je tape simonThockeysimulator.exe ensuite.

Usually it unzips automatically. I Didn't have a problem with the last 2 versions for Mac at all.

Appears to have been fixed by installing Zipeg.

I'm running XQuartz 2.7.4 and Mono, I've put both the client file and the STC file in my home folder, opened XQuartz and typed in the command, and I get the following message back:

"The entry point method could not be loaded"

Does anyone know what I'm doing wrong here? Help would be much appreciated!

2.1.5 was ok but 2.1.6 didn't go so well for my MAC client GM. I think he only tried once as far as I know and I think he hasn't since. I'm afraid I might be about to lose him. I didn't want to bother him over the holiday season but I guess I should check soon.

I will say that people need to ensure they've got the latest XQuartz (which has replaced X11 for those with older Mac OS).

The latest version is 2.7.5 (which was just released today.) http://xquartz.macosforge.org/trac/wiki/X112.7.5

This is especially pertinent if you have updated to Mavericks OS for Mac.

Also - after install you need to log out of your Mac OSX and log back in so it loads properly.

Some of the problems (the "The entry point method could not be loaded" error for example) sound like incompatibility between Visual Basic and Mono. I would ensure that I have the latest versions installed of both mono (http://www.mono-project.com/Main_Page) and VB (http://www.mono-project.com/VisualBasic.NET_support).

Some of our GM's have also had problems unzipping the latest SimonT or XQuartz files etc. Try using KEKA (http://www.kekaosx.com/) as it's up to date and handles all the latest compressions. It's also free.

Hey all, I am getting similar problems to many of my GMs when trying to run this. Are there any other cheap options to buy that are able to run windows based programs on a mac? I saw paralells for 80 dollars. Has anyone tried using this program to run the windows based version of either the client, or the simulator?

Also, is there another paid option out there that people know of that works? Id rather just skip all of this mono and xquartz stuff if there is a cheap enough alternative that is more reliable.

In the meantime, Im also curious does anyone have any new insight on some of the recurring problems mentioned in previous posts? (specifically closter12's post on page 2 of this thread where he copied his error message into his post - this is the same error I am getting)

Any MAC users here or that you know about is working ok with the current version?

In April May 2014, everthing was ok for my MAC GM making a play off run.

Today, got the new files and it's not working for him again :(

I would also like some direction on using a Mac and the new client.

All of my Mac users are F***ED right now, it's not working for any of them. Some detailed instructions would be helpful.
