Beta-Testing the Version 1.5 of Simulation Engine

Hi everyone.

In the current version of the STHS (2.1.2, you are able to activate the version 1.5 of the simulation engine with a manual command “V15 Engine Test” without the quotes to beta-test the simulation engine. When you’ll run this command, the option to run the simulation engine 1.5 will appear in the league option. But running this command will make the simulator in a temporary mode where you will be unable to save your league and unable to output the STHS Client file.

The simulation engine 1.5 is pretty simple, it’s the simulation engine 1.1 with the following features added:
1) Referee and Lineman
2) Line Strategies
3) Percentage of ice time per lines
4) Team Strategies
5) The “Last Min” Lines.
6) Players Star Power

If you want to test the simulation engine 1.5, you must compare with the simulation engine 1.1. My primary concern is to make sure the simulation engine 1.5 gives the same result that simulation engine 1.1.

I’m waiting to get your feedback on the work that I have done.

Thank you.

If testing of engine 1.5 is positive, is there a tentative date for release of an official version of V2 with the 1.5? I'm currently in the playoffs and switching to V2 after this season, so I'm trying to figure out a time frame for my off-season activities.

This is great news by the way...!

If I get good feedback, by the end of the month with release 2.1.3.

One question before is start testing...Will we get the same amount of statistics with Version 1.5? Like Giveaways, Takeaways and so on?

No. The stats will stay the same that in 1.1. I already check Giveaways / Takeaways and it's impossible for me to add them in 1.5.

After a few seasons simulated, I have noticed no changes whatsoever in the pro leaders, seems ok for me over there, but I did not test the farm leaders nor checked individual leaders. I see with 1.5, we can also use farm options of V2 (number of games per season and different division than pro). Is multiple position also activated in 1.5 ?

The 1.5 seems to work fine, now if it could only calculate the salary cap live V2, I think a big majority of my gm's would like to go to that engine.

Multiple position is a feature that not related to a simulation engine. It applies to all simulation engine in the V2.

Are those the only stats/features that are not available?

No. The stats not available in 1.1 and 1.5 are

For players : OwnShotsBlock, ProOwnShotsMissGoal, GiveAway and TakeAway
For goalies : SARebound

What about game features/options?

Most of them are in there. Check the manual, I just update most of the information.

This is all I could find (which you already stated)...
Here is more information if you choose the simulation engine in version 1.1 or 1.5.

•You cannot simulate all-star game with the simulation engine in version 1.1 and version 1.5. If you simulate an all-star game, it’ll be simulate using the version 2.0 or version 2.1 of the simulation engine.
•Some stat for players (OwnShotsBlock, ProOwnShotsMissGoal, GiveAway and TakeAway) and goalies (SARebound) are always 0 because they were implemented in the simulation engine 2.0.
Is that all?

Now I am confused. In your first post of this thread you list the features that ARE included, percentage of ice time per lines being one of them. Yet in the link you just provided it states that "Percentage of ice time per line does not apply". Those are conflicting statements.

So as far as I can see these are the only things missing from 1.5.....

OwnShotsBlock, ProOwnShotsMissGoal, GiveAway and TakeAway) and goalies (SARebound)

Is there anything else we should know about?
