Hey guys! Title says it: how can I update my league's ratings using the "update ratings" functions while keeping my league's rookie statuses. The problem is that the purchased ratings file's rookie statuses overwrite those in the league file, but for obvious reasons a player may be a veteran in our league while he is a rookie in the NHL based ratings file. Am I missing something obvious, or do I have to do this in Excel?

It could be done but it's tricky. You need to "Output Rating File" from the Bonus sub-menu to output your current rating in a STR File. Then, update your rating using your new STR file. This WILL overwrite the rookie status. But after, update the rating again with the STR file you just created but uncheck all the option except "Update Player". This will reset your URLLink, Country, Weight, Height and Rookie Status from your current rating.

That could work. I will try to do it in Excel though, because I have some other data to change anyways.

For a future release, it would be very cool to have a separate „Update rookie status“ switch that can be turned on and off.

Sorry for bumping an old thread but this is exactly what I had a question on.

I see that the update ratings function now allows us to turn off age, position, and rookie status when updating the ratings. Can we also have a similar function to turn off updating country?

No. It's just allow to see the best rookie of the year.
