Any chance we can get the ratings in an excel file or html document? My GM's would prefer to see them that way at first. That is what you did in years past.

Note : You can create an temporary league with the rating pack and export the CSV file from there.

Je ne suis pas capable d'ouvrir ton fichier. Dans le passé on pouvait ouvrir avec le navigateur web.

C'est un fichier Zip, c'est normal. Télécharge le et après, ouvre le.

I am puzzled as to why Ilya Samsonov has better ratings than Igor Shesterkin. Was there a mistake? Shesterkin vastly outplayed him in the last 2 NHL seasons.

No, it's not a mistake.

Igor Shesterkin
- AHL 2019-20: 25GP / 17W / 4L / 5OTL / .934SV% / 1.90GAA / 3 SO
- NHL 2019-20: 12GP / 10W / 2L / 0OTL / .932SV% / 2.52GAA / 0 SO
- NHL 2020-21: 35GP / 16W / 14L / 3OTL / .916SV% / 2.62GAA / 2 SO

Ilya Samsonov
- NHL 2019-20: 26GP / 16W / 6L / 2OTL / .913SV% / 2.55GAA / 1 SO
- NHL 2020-21: 19GP / 13W / 4L / 1OTL / .902SV% / 2.69GAA / 2 SO
- AHL 2020-21: 4GP / 2W / 1L / 1OTL / .869SV% / 3.25GAA / 0 SO - Assigned to AHL for conditioning purposes.

When they are sent to the AHL for conditioning purposes, the stats are not included in the ratings. This avoids huge drops to players.

So at the end, Shesterkin's ratings include his AHL stats compared to Samsonov who only includes his NHL stats.

It's the same situation with Alex Nedelkovic. The kid had a great season last year, but he also played in the AHL in 2019... so that hurts their ratings a lot. (Even if he has good numbers in the AHL, I have a limit that I cannot exceed.)

Next year, if Shesterkin stays on top of his game at the NHL level, don't worry, he'll be a beast.

J'ai un questionnement similaire concernant la cote défensive de Noah Dobson à 58 DF !?!

Pourtant, il a joué toute l'année régulier NHL et il a baissé de 62 à 58...S'agit-il d'une erreur ?

This is another example of something that seems off with the goalie ratings:

Linus Ullmark - 54 games last two seasons, 0.916 SV%
Brian Elliott - 61 games last two seasons, 0.894 SV%

And yet they have virtually the same core ratings?

Il y a toujours une optimisation à la fin de l'année ce qui peut varier les cotes de peu.

Same number of games started but more wins and shutouts for Elliott which explains the small boost.

I would like to clarify, I'm not going to start explaining why each player's ratings are so low or so high.

If I'm going to answer 25-30 questions every year about ratings, I'll keep it to my personal use only.

Those who want these ratings just have to download them and enjoy.
