Je suis pris avec une problématique de tankage très abusive. Quelles sont vos règlements concernant ce point? C'est majeur pour la course à la wildcard comme situation pour les équipes qui sont dans la même division, un avantage important.

I have a big issue with a team who's tanking. What's your rules to control it? It's a major impact for the wildcard positions.

In our league teams have to have at least a decent goalie. Another way to control that is to adjust draft lottery.

Intentional tanking should be grounds for dismissal. But if you don't have that codified in your rules, loss of pick(s) might be the way to go too.

Le tanking intentionnel devrait être un motif de licenciement. Mais si vous n’avez pas cela codifié dans vos règles, la perte de choix pourrait être la voie à suivre aussi.

We make it a clear a team has to play a logical lineup based on the players available, otherwise a severe fine and even a possible firing can happen.

In the summer of 2014 with the 2015 super draft looming, we had a team that was going to play a crappy AHL goalie as its #1 - and was quite open about it - and we basically revolted, forcing the GM to sign a veteran #1 G who wasn't all that good at that point but still way better than the AHLer.

Salut, nous les joueurs qui se font mettre de coté pour des raisons de tankage demande des transactions et l'équipe en question est dans l'obligation d'y répondre. Perte de choix au repêchage, etc sont aussi à sanctionner

Avec un plafond et plancher salarial ça aide.

De plus, chez nous, il est impossible de mettre un joueur d'un certain OV dans le farm à moins qu'il soit le 13e attaquant, 7e def, 3e gardien.

ça n’empêche en rien à un club de tanker en liquidant son club par contre.

We do this: All teams are expected to roster their best roster on the pro and farm side;
player development will be taken into consideration by the Commissioner.
Teams caught tanking will have all their team’s picks moved to the end of each
round of the draft. NTCs will be added to the lowest players on their pro roster
and losing all camps and sponsorships. Commissioner has final ruling on all
tanking outcomes.

I do an equal odds lottery for all out of playoff teams PLUS the last two in each conference. They all get a chance at #1, 2 & 3 picks.

I also award extra picks to divisional, conference, presidents and championship winners.

My situation is probably very different as well since I have been able to have GMs connected to at least one other GM (friends of friends/family). So 99% of the group personally knows at least one other GM.
