UHL, est. 1995, has openings
The Ultimate Hockey League, which started in 1995, is now entering it's 28th simulation season and has five openings. Our pitch: our league has very strong leadership with a strong history of balanced teams and stability. We run two simulated seasons per calendar year, with two sets of games during ...

Re: V2 : Referee / Arbitres
I don't plan to add linesman. You cannot blame a linesman after a game. ;) um, LEON STICKLE?????? Ideally, ratings would be based on various tendencies such as likelyhood to call hooking penalties, majors, penalty shots, average penalties per game, etc. That would allow Simon to break it ...

Re: Re:
Yeap, no jersey. For me, it's plain useless. My answer didn't change since. Simon, looking at your priority list I would agree this is a small one compared to a lot of upgrades. But honestly, it's hardly useless. Jersey number is for many a much higher of a priority over some of the stats (such as ...

Re: Full Name in play by play
The alternate option would be outputting the box scores in XML and attributing the player with the STHS playerid (I believe that is the role of <number> in the rosters XML output). This would allow all leagues with a database to import the box score straight into their DB. Given that the infrastruct...

Re: Full Name in play by play
I understand what you're saying, and it's a very valid point. I guess an option would be nice. I noticed that I am not the only one here who scrapes the box scores and puts them into the DB, so maybe there are others who are doing the same......if you can, it would be nice.
Thanks again.
Thanks again.

Re:
Sorry it's not possible. The reason why is that I txt file were error prone and in the FHL, those error were crashing the simulator. Also, the shl file contain a lot more information that those in the FHL, making it very long to write then. And third, the shl are encrypted. Simon - Can we take the ...

Re: Parsing STHS html output
Our league has been parsing FHL box scores, transactions, lines, and injury/suspension lists for some time utilizing an asp.net script for several seasons now. We'll be doing the same for STHS once we start up the new sim next season. It does take some time and technical skill, but it can be done. T...

Full Name in play by play
Excellent list Simon, thanks for the job well done. One thing I noticed in the play by play is that it does not identify which team the player is on. This can cause confusion when there are players of the same name on the ice on different teams (i.e. there are two Cory Stillmans.) I was wondering if...

8-year league seeks commissioner (TFNHL)
The TFNHL (http://www.tfnhl.com/) is seeking a commissioner to take over league day-to-day operations. The league operates in an NHL based ratings system and has recently converted to STHS. It has been around for eight years and operates one season per calendar year. The new season has not started y...

Box scores in XML
Any thoughts towards having the box scores outputted in XML?
For those of us who like to populate our SQL database with box score information, this would be an extremely valuable function.

Very Experienced, active GM seeking league
Very experienced GM (12+ years, HLS2 + FHL, started UHL in 1995, league still going with FHL) seeking active STHS league. Prefer one that is about to start up but will consider inheriting a team as well. Will only consider NHL-based league with NHL-dependant ratings. Will consider both french and en...

Coaches CSV file
This might seem a little stupid, but after using the migration utility, I cannot start my league because there isn't a coaches CSV file to select.
Does anyone have one I can use? Or am I badly missing something here?
