Price Increase 2022

It has been 18 months since the last price updated for the STHS version 3 subscriptions. As the cost-of-living increases and the purpose of the subscription model is to ensure long-term longevity of the STHS and of your league, I decided to increase the cost of the STHS subscription. The one (1) year subscription increases from $ 25 to $ 35 CND. The two (2) year subscription increases from $ 44 to $ 54 CND. For the subscription with web hosting, the one (1) year subscription increases from $ 75 to $ 85 CND and two (2) year subscription increases from $ 135 to $ 155 CND.

On this day of October 22, 2022, version 3.3.5 of the SimonT Hockey Simulator Version 3 (STHS V3) and version 3.3.5 of STHS V3 Client are released.

These releases fix all reported bugs since their last release. I want to point out the System.Data.SQLite.dll file has been updated with this release and the old System.Data.SQLite.dll file is not compatible with this version so update the DDL file along with the EXE file.

On this day of August 1, 2022, version 3.3.4 of the SimonT Hockey Simulator Version 3 (STHS V3) and version 3.3.4 of STHS V3 Client are released.

These releases fix all reported bugs since their last release and introduce the complete separation between the STHS Dynamics website and the SQLite Databases. In previous versions of the STHS, some of the PHP code was created inside the STHS for your league. With the feature introduced in the last couple of versions of the STHS and particularly this one, all the PHP code is static, and everything is driven by SQLite Databases. For example, in this version, the STHSSetting.php file, instead of being create by the STHS, will now read an SQLite database to get your league STHS Setting.

These releases fix all reported bugs since their last release and introduce multiple improvements. Here are three notable’s improvements.

• In the home page, the previous section “Latest Trade, Waiver, Injury & Suspension Transactions” section hidden below the news section was moved to the right top corner. It’s now called “Top Headlines” and will show the headline of the last 1, 2 or 3 days.
• The Output Option Window was re-design to better align to version 3.
• The Trade History feature was updated to a better look.

New web hosting service

Hi everyone.

The owner of STHS will be offering a new service to members of its community. This offer would allow him to have access to more parameters to provide better service and support for STHS buyers, especially those less comfortable with IT. For example, the link between the STHS Client and the STHS for alignments will be preconfigured for users. There will be 2 additional purchase options.

Option 1) STHS subscription + Dynamic website hosting using the subdomain STHS.ca. For example, if your league is called "Old School Hockey / OSH", your website address would be osh.sths.ca. There will be no limit to the number of customers using this option. This option will be charged $ 75 CDN for 1 year or $ 135 CDN for 2 years.
Option 2) STHS subscription + Full Dynamic website hosting with FTP connection where the client purchases their DNS domain name themselves and points it to the STHS web server (Required IT Knowledge). This option will be possible for a maximum of 8 clients! This option will be charged $100 CDN for 1 year or $ 180 CDN for 2 years.

Web hosting involves you using the dynamic STHS version 3 website. If you want to personalize the dynamic STHS website, this offer is not for you. Any third-party website or modification of the dynamic STHS website is prohibited if you subscribe to STHS web hosting.

These offers are optional, and you can always decide to buy the STHS like before and manage/personalize your web site yourself as you currently do.

To summarize the prices:

• The Normal STHS subscription without web hosting: $ 25 CDN 1 Year / 44 CDN 2 Years (The usual)
• STHS subscription with web hosting: $ 75 CDN 1 Year / $ 135 CDN 2 Years
• STHS subscription with Web hosting with FTP connection where the customer buy/brings his DNS domain name: 100 $ CDN 1 Year / 180 $ CDN 2 Years

On this day of September 19th, 2021, version 3.3.0 of the SimonT Hockey Simulator Version 3 (STHS V3) and version 3.3.0 of STHS V3 Client are released.

These releases fix all reported bugs since their last release and introduce multiple improvements. Here are three notable’s improvements.

• In the dynamic website search section, the Players Stats History, Goalies Stats History and Team Or TeamVS Stats History Menu got major upgrade. You can search using the "All Season Merge" and "All Season per Year".
• When the STHS process major change (Starting Season, Starting Playoff, Starting Off-Season, the STHS will now save league a special league file in your backup folder with the following name : League Abbreviation, League Output Year Option and the situation (BeforeStartingSeason, BeforeStartingPlayoff or BeforeStartingOffSeason).
• For developer, this version change how the website is using the Header.php, Footer.php and STHSSetting.php file. As now, Header.php and Footer.php are static file like the rest of the dynamic website and STHSSetting.php become the only file created dynamically by the STHS.

On this day of July 10th, 2021, version 3.2.9 of the SimonT Hockey Simulator Version 3 (STHS V3) and version 3.2.9 of STHS V3 Client are released.

These releases fix all reported bugs since their last release and introduce multiple improvements. Here is two notable’s improvements.

• The website is now using permanent cookie instead of asking you for your password every time you want to take an action. You simply use the login feature, and the website is be customized for you. You even now have a custom menu on the right-side corner with a quick link to your team page.
• This STHS version is built with 64 technology and his coming with a new version of the System.Data.SQLite.dll, version 10.0.113.0 in 64 bits version. Please update your DLL file at the same time that you update the STHS.

STHS Support Policy Update

In the last month, I’m having more and more open issues and emails about issues with third-party websites. It’s the same situation I had in the mid 2010 with the legacy web portal when people bought it and sent me all the support requests, especially after the founder the web portal shutdown. Since more and more features of the STHS are linked to the dynamic website, the relation between the STHS, STHS Client and dynamic website is becoming more critical and will continue to be more critical.

Because of this relation, as of today, I’m updating the STHS Support policy. Any support question related to a third-party website will be dismissed. If you decided to use and maybe paid for a third-party website, you are on your own in terms of support on any features that requires the dynamic website to work correctly.

For your knowledge, the dynamic website is an open-source project on GitHub, freely available for everyone to view, edit, modify and most importantly, contribute! In the last 5 years, apart from the WebClient creator, nobody else has contributed. People are copying my code, modifying it and reselling it for a large sum of money. This is insulting for me and I’m condemning this.
