Winning a fight
So there is an obvious correlation between FG and the amount of times in a given season you fight. Is there any augmenting stat that controls how likely it is you'll win said fight? I'd assume Strength, but I've seen too many examples of the stronger player losing in my league to tell me that it mat...

Re: Corsi/Fenwick Stats
Corsi Save % is for goalies, while Corsi For % is for skaters. Same thing applies for Fenwick For vs Save. So while a goalie is on the ice, their Corsi Save % is the amount of shot attempts that don't go in the net per total shot attempts. You're using the same stats for forwards, but applying it to...

Corsi/Fenwick Stats
This may be a big ask, but I think it could be done, given the Play by Play section of the simulator. Could we introduce Corsi and Fenwick for both skaters and goalies? I'm not sure if this falls under the same umbrella as Giveaways and Takeaways tracker in that calculating these stats will mess wit...

Re: Can a 3 offensive lines model work and lead to wins?
What if the highest DF rating on the line is 75? Followed by 70 and then 66. Another way to think about it (to go to Henry's multiple ways to win strategy) is that you don't have to have any of your forwards be defensive at all. At best, it's an augmentative stat for passing, at worst DF has zero i...

Re: Can a 3 offensive lines model work and lead to wins?
Our sim league has more offensive forwards than defensive, so it's a necessity in the SHL. Some teams that have defensive players play them on the 2nd line, 3rd goes close to 0-0-5 strats.

Player Handedness
Does handedness really have an impact on the play of a player or no? Like, does the sim discern between backhand and forehand shots?

Re: Positions
The way we circumvent this in our league is to manually change a player's position to whatever the team wants them to play. No penalty.

Penalty Shot
So my league isn't really a fan of the penalty shot, and for a few reasons. We have an update scale and it seems that 40 PS on 40 PS (skater and goalie, respectively) is way too random, even for a defensive defender with 40 SC. My question is whether PS is the only stat that affects your ability to ...

Captaincy Effects
Does listing captains have an in-game effect? In a league where LD, EX, MO, and PO are all standard and fixed, so no real dynamic there, but am interested to know if there's any stock to the assignment.

Rivalries
What exactly is different when it comes to setting a game as a rivalry game versus a normal game? Is there a difference between R1 and R5?

Re: Power play struggles
It's the balance between your 3 forwards and how the 2 defenders contribute. The decision engine for scoring IIRC usually has a consistent result if one of the 3 main stats (PA-SC-SK) is 10 points above the next, then another 10 point gap between #2 and #3. So a line of 90-80-70, 80-90-70, and 80-70...

Re: Goaltender Ratings
I've been curious as to whether or not there's a decision formula for goalies like the one for skaters. Rebound Control, Hand Speed, Reaction Time, and Style Control all have a significant part in determining the effectiveness of a goalie, and if my league didn't have injuries off, endurance would b...
