My team has a habit of blowing leads. I am tired of it. I have tried everything - the same strategy as when the game is tied or we are ahead. A super defensive strategy. More PHY. Not having any PHY at all. It doesn't matter.
What is your prefered team wide strategy when your team is ahead by a goal or 2?

Re: Best strategy to protect 3rd period leads
Hey Marc
IF your team fall in 3rd, it could be for another reason then strategy. EX and LD, for players and coach (if the option "coach affects the game" is activated) are possibly the reason. Maybe get few player with more EX LD in key position could be helpful to avoid opponent to come back. Don't underestimate the goalie...

Re: Best strategy to protect 3rd period leads
The issues continue for my team. Blowing 2 goal leads like it's our mission.
I have a lot of veterans. I have plenty of DF. A good goalie. The coach's DF rating is pretty solid at 87 (7th best in the league).
I am thinking I should just have the same strategy as when the game is tied at this point because the team reacts poorly to a change of strategy when ahead.
