BRHL 2010-2011 Ratings RELEASED

Ratings for the 2010-2011 NHL/AHL players are hereby released in their first version of the year.

The BRHL Ratings package are a pay for ratings package, and have been released every year since 2001. Our ratings have been out before the end of April every season except one (which was 1st week of May). So they are prompt an accurate. Once a suscriber, suggested slider settings, as well as modifications are sent to you as well. This will be the third year we have included junior ratings databases (still to come).

We offer 3 different subscription offers
- 1 year subscription $30
- 2 year subscription - $50
- Lifetime subscription - $75 (at least 3 years or your money back should we cease to do them).

A few highlights
- v2 ratings package
- URL links & positions all based on tsn.ca
- All players who played in at least 10 NHL or AHL games are created
- Coaches ratings & Referee ratings are not included in this version. They will be coming in future updates. Same with Junior ratings.
- Players like Langkow, Ivanans, Lombardi etc who missed most of the year due to injury are here with about 85% of their statistical attributes.
- PS (Penalty Shot) ratings are based on lifetime ratios. Players with less than 10 attempts (and goalies) are scaled down a bit.

Why does Tomas Pleckanec have a higher defense rating than Zdeno Chara, Nicklas Lidstrom, Duncan Keith, etc.?

Plekanec - 2:49/gm SHTOI
Chara - 2:48/gm SHTOI
Keith - 2:38/gm SHTOI

Blocked shots per game are factored in as well (differently for forwards & dmen) but the PK TOI is the major factor. That and the fact the scales are slightly different for forwards and defensemen, but you get the idea.

Update 1.2 is out.

A few SK ratings have been tweaked. Also all NHL Coyotes had their PH & DF screwed up, those have been fixed.

Things appear to be rolling quite smoothly, many new suscribers, mean many more features!!

Version 1 ratings will be out this weekend (sitting in Edmonton Airport finishing the conversion now).
The European database formulas will be released to suscribers to create their own Euro leagues (or a rating style for international players for tournies). This also should be out this week.

Please note our BRHL webpages are down at the moment, bear with us as we switch servers over the next few days. I will advise when it is corrected.

I was also attempting to see the ratings and it didn't work, so I have searched on the forum of the BRHL. Apparently, the whole website is down because he wanted to transfer server (and it suscription was ending on May 31th) but his server promised they would not shutdown the website right away, which they did. So the transfer process is way more complicated than he wanted. The latest update was on May 31th :

Hey guys, I sincerely apologize for the delay with transferring the BRHL websites to their new location. It was not my intention to have this take as long as it has. Unfortunately, the process for transferring domains is out of my hands. Im checking the status every day so that once I get the full go ahead, I will begin reconstructing the sites back to their normal status. Its been a long time. Way too long. For that, Im sincerely sorry.

Ill be honest, Im a little too frustrated to go into all the details here, but we should be close to getting up and running again. Usually the easiest thing, the FTP access and accounts, has become the trickiest.

Ive done what I can prior to getting the FTP working properly, so that once that kicks in, we should be good.

Long story short, everything is being worked on. Im extremely frustrated with the situation, and rarely a moment goes by where its not on my mind. Forgive me if I havent responded to some individual requests as the requests usually just end up reminding me of the mess that were all having to deal with right now. I did not expect, nor want anything close to this.

To sum it up, I would rather be a Flyers fan than deal with these issues ever again.

Comment est-ce possible que nous n'ayons pas de nouvelles depuis aussi longtemps ? Je comprends que le serveur est "down", mais nous voulons pouvoir utiliser les ratings pour notre draft qui arrive très bientôt. Est-ce normal que, si le gars qui gère ça, sait que son serveur ne fonctionne plus ne prenne même pas le temps de venir ici pour nous donner une façon de le joindre ? Nous voulons bien attendre encore un peu, mais si cela ne s'avère plus possible de prendre les ratings de BRHL, ce serait bon de le savoir très rapidement...

I can see why it's hard to imagine how it can take months to move a website, but if these guys are anything like me they have real lives to live. Especially in the summer. My league shuts down completely from June-Sept and I need the break. Without it there's no way we would be going into our 14th season this fall.

Wow. Not a great last few montsh with server changes.

Full disclosure I have no clue on server stuff. My right hand man was handling that and pulling his hair out.

I havent been around cause I have recently relocated to Denver. Am semi-settled in now so we're good to go.

We're fixing a few things but I will get working ratings shown so we can advertise and take care of the community we need. My email was down for a few month as a result of this (seriously godaddy can go to hell). If you tried to contact me, please fire me a line again.
