Portal help - changing team names

Hi

I'm hoping someone has experienced this and was able to correct it...

I changed the name of one of my farm teams in STHS from Lake Erie Monsters to Halifax Citadels. When I uploaded...I had TWO Halifax Citadels on my farm standings and seeing FOUR Halifax Citadels on the teams home page. The league files are fine and I also run a webpage which reflects the change fine...seems to be just the portal.

I run V1 1.1.0.7

Any idea on how to get down to just ONE Halifax Citadels?

I think you'll have to delete the duplicates by yourself in the BD

You need to go to MySQL and delete the team in the database.

Thanks for the assistance so far. It did work to delete the duplication from the current season standings.

What I have discovered was the previous seasons history the Lake Erie Monsters are wiped from the standings...

Also, when I go into teams homepages the prefix HFX appears twice still...if you look down on the bottom right you'll see 13 teams listed (HFX twice still).

I'm thinking some of this will get fixed once the pre-season is closed and the regular season begins as I recall vaguely some unusual stuff occuring in the pre-season once before but it was ok once the season started. As for the lost historical AHL standings for the Monsters...that I don't think will be repaired.

For anyone else who had this problem the solution is this:
If you change a teams name in the sim, BEFORE uploading it to the server, Go into your MySQL database and manually change the info from the team you changed to what it is going to be. After this is done, and only after, then you can upload your csv files.

If you do not do it before you will lose info from the old team name.

This is what happened to me until i followed the above info.

I've changed team names during the off-season and had no problems, without having to go into MySQL. The portal website then just refers to the franchise by its new name for all past seasons.
