I have Brandon Saad. He has a SC of 84.
He plays with my best passing forward, Logan Couture, who has a PA of 81. It should work in theory.
Through 16 games, Saad has no goals despite 57 shots! He does have 10 assists though. So the line is working, aside from the goal scorer actually scoring.
I would shake it up...except my team is somehow 10-4-2 despite Saad giving me no goals (and 9-2-1 in the last 12). I don't want to rock the boat to get one player going.
What should I do? Status quo? My other 2 quality passing forwards are Alex Tanguay (80 PA) and Eric Staal (79 PA).

PA-SC-SK and PH all together will reflect who will score more. If you only look at the scoring without the other rathing, it is worth nothing.

Saad and Couture have the best ratings in PH and SK among my forwards.

Re: Top goal scorer can't score
This is the problem, SK is too high, so instead of shooting all the time, he skate too much.
When a player has the puck, he needs to make a decision of what to do with it. There are 3 results possible: skate, pass or shot. It doesn’t matter if the player skills are at 50 or 99 for this formula. The player’s skills are compared between each other’s for this formula.
The decision is based on 5 skills:
Skating (Primary) and Puck Handling (Limited affect) are uses to decide if the players skate.
Passing (Primary) and Defense (Limited affect) are uses to decide if the players pass.
Scoring (Primary) is uses to decide if the player shot.
So, a players with 99 in the 5 skills has the same % of chance to shot to the net that a player who has 50 in the 50 skills.

Interesting, Saad is essentially averaging 4 shots per game...so he is shooting.
But I will probably break them up knowing this.
