Which coach to choose?

It all depends on how you want your team to perform.

If you want a team based on offence, then coach 5 would be the one.
A defensive team would be coach 3.
A physical team coach 1.

But...my favorite could be coach 3 and 5. But, do you think the PH has a real effect on team's play? Coach 5 has a high % of offensive, but low in PH.

And, for sure the Coach 3 is good on DF, but is 79 on OF. That's not bad...

You will have to factor in the coach sliders in the STHS Client as well. Depending on which coach you decide to choose when doing your lines you will have to adjust your sliders as well.

But of the 2 you are thinking of I would choose #3.
PH - Almost the same for both
DF - Coach 3 has the advantage
OF - Coach 5 has the advantage
PD - Almost the same for both
EX - Coach 3 has the advantage
LD - Coach 3 has the advantage
PO - Coach 5 a little better here

I think LD & EX are the factors to choose #3 over #5

I haven't tested a lot yet, but I noticed offensive teams with defensive coaches perform better than defensive teams with offensive coaches. You might want to check that out.

Coach 3 is my obvious choice :
He's 91 in leadership -- a characteristic you want to have as high as possible during the final stretch and the playoffs.
He's 81 in player discipline -- which allows you to use your talented yet undisciplined players (if needed) on top lines without worries of seeing them be in the box for many penalities.
He's 86 in defense -- the best among this group. Offense wins you seasons. Defense wins you playoffs.
He's ok in other categories, except for the potential. Yet most other coaches in that list are quite bad in potential. Thus, I wouldn't want to sign him over a long-term contrat. Maybe a 2 year deal?
