Re: New player creation OV jumping around

http://i55.photobucket.com/albums/g151/Rated_PG13/sths.png I know it's small font here - but I created Stephen Silas at 59 OV a few days prior to recreating him today in the sim. Same attributes - but now he is 61 OV. Both times, the sim settings were: Coaches: 50 Fights: 43 Finance: 75 Goals: 35 I...

Re: New player creation OV jumping around

Yes, I know what you are talking about. I did the above example in my own sim. The settings for league operation (fights, morale, etc) were not changed from the first example to the next. It is quite a perplexing problem.

Re: New player creation OV jumping around

I assure you they are identical. As I said as well - I created the players, recorded their attributes, and then deleted them in my own sim (I didn't want to output them that day). I then re-created them and some of their OV's was 2 points higher. Example: First attempt: Riley Sheahan 67 50 75 72 76 ...

Re: New player creation OV jumping around

He isn't 'creating' OV - as I said, he has his own STHS sim and creates the players there. Then he records their attributes and puts them into an Excel file so I can create them for the league. The OV appears in the sim after you create the player - he just records it so I'll know the numbers match....

New player creation OV jumping around

We draft and create real prospects in our league. We have Patrick King, a junior hockey reporter from Canada, rate our prospects based on HF rating and his experience following these players. He uses an STHS sim set exactly to the same specs as mine to create them, then writes an Excel files with ea...

Re: MAJOR 1-1-3 playoff tie-breaker problem

We will figure out a way and hope 2.0 is completely ready to go by the time our next season starts up. Thanks for the quick responses Simon!

Re: MAJOR 1-1-3 playoff tie-breaker problem

Oh, I completely get the programming aspect. As I was writing my post I realized that it would probably be very hard to program this into the STHS sim. Is there any way to move my 9th place team into 8th place? We run our rules as close to the NHL as possible, and since under NHL rules my current 9t...

MAJOR 1-1-3 playoff tie-breaker problem

According to the NHL Rulebook, when two teams are tied for a position in a conference, the tiebreaker process is as follows: 1. Wins 2. Season Series - team with most points in series wins tiebreaker - HOWEVER, if the teams have played an odd number of games, points collected in the first game in th...

Re: League Status

Good thread to have here - surprised more didn't post their sim league stories. The PFHL started in 2002 with Aaron Sanderson at the helm as commish. The league folded in 2006 when Aaron got settled down with a wife and kid. At the time I was a GM (been there since the beginning) and went on my own ...

DVHL/NAIHL lists or eqivalent

I was wondering - are there lists available out there of all NHL players that played during the 2009-10 season? We do not need the ratings - we handle that. Just wondering if someone did like what DVHL and NAIHL used to do a year or so ago with players that played in the NHL last year but are not in...

Award winners receiving attribute boosts

I commish a league that has been around since 2002, but the old commish is rarely around these days and we don't seem to have this in our rulebook anymore. But every season, we do awards based on GM vote or commish's selection and the winner gets attribute boosts (like +3 EX, or +2 SC...that kind of...

Farm G's rerating faster in-season than skaters

Hello! We have a very odd problem in our league. Last season, we turned on the in-season farm rerating from game one to the trade deadline (setting was the second from the bottom - "low"). The forwards and defensemen rerated perfectly - those who played well moved up at a decent, realistic...

Re: Marek Svatos being auto-scratched

Nevermind. His salary was under the minimum league salary of $475,000. Hence his not being able to be included in the lineup.

Thanks anyways!
