AHFL - ALL HOCKEY FANTASY LEAGUE

I have decided to go forward with the AHFL - All Hockey Fantasy League as a secondary project.

Each GM will have the option of controlling TWO (2) Teams, one in each Conference (Trades between these teams are prohibited). If you only want one, that is acceptable as well.

Team/Franchise Selection:
For Each Franchise/Team, the GM has the option of submitting three team choices from all NHL (http://thehockeywriters.com/nhl-teams-list/) or WHA (http://www.whahockey.com/whateams.html) history (roughly 70 options)

Example: Team 1 (Montreal Canadiens, Montreal Maroons, Quebec Nordiques)

Selections will be accepted on a first come, first served bases, with the GM getting his list in first, getting his #1 choice and so on. GM will be notified if all his selections are taken.

Note: The Commish has selected the Cleveland Barons & as one of his team selections and as such unavailable.

ROSTER SELECTION:
For Each Team, the GM will then submit a list of 40 Skaters (25 forwards - 15 defense) and 5 Goaltenders.

Players can be selected from the NHL, WHA and 1972 Soviets.

NHL Player Stats are generated based on (http://www.hockey-reference.com/) NHL adjusted Totals, modified to a full season.
WHA/Soviet Player Stats are generated on (http://www.hockey-reference.com/ or other sources in the case of the soviets) stats, but with a commish adjustment formula (roughly translate to 75% of totals.. so 50 goals translates to 37.5 goals).. modified to a full season.

ALL Duplicate players will be removed from the franchises in question and any holes in the roster as a result will require to be filled via free agents and draft picks (or trades) (Example: Team 1 and Team 7 both select Wayne Gretzky.. wayne gretzky gets removed from team 1 and team 7 and goes into either free agent pile or future draft pile.) As such, GMs should take care in their selections and not just re-produce a list of the top 100 players. Duplicates are based on the player and not the age/year selected.

Players will be rated based on the year they are selected and given a potential rating. The Potential rating will be used by the simulator for re-rate purposes. So selecting everyone as a rookie may not have that player re-rated into his historical self. This should be taken under consideration for selection purposes.

Format: The players MUST be submitted in the following format, if they are not submitted in this format, they will not be accepted.

Player Name - Age - Year - Your First Name & Last Initial - Team 1 or Team 2
Example:
Wayne Gretzky - 22 - 1982-83 - Alex M - Team 1

The reason for the format is for the Database in order to track doubles and such, failure to comply will mess up the DB and cause errors.

I would like your interest and team/players lists in ASAP.

The league will be using V.2 sim Software and will also be using the STHS Web Portal on a dedicated website (to be set up once enough interest generated)
