I've decided to create my own historical league. I want to start in the middle of 70's but honestly I have absolutely no idea how to build ratings for players at least for the first season. After that I want to go by the way of alternative reality.
But still I want to any advices about how to build ratings. How to do for example PA and SC is pretty obvious but what about CK? I know that some players are considered as top checkers but what about CK of guys like Mike Bossy, Denis Potvin etc? It's sort of complicated for me.
Also I'd be grateful for any players list for the start. I really don't want to create about 500+ new players.
So is here anyone who can give any useful points or even that list (file)?
