GMHL Paid League with Cash Prizes

The GMHL is a simulated hockey league that allows team owners to act as real NHL GM’s. Each GM pays a fee of $50 prior to the year, and at the end of the year, the cash is paid out to GMs based on accomplishments (ie, The Stanley Cup Champion receives 25% of the cash - $375, the Art Ross winner receives 3% - $45, the President’s Trophy winner receives 5% - $75 etc.). Each year we hold a draft with all the real NHL draft eligible players, so this year, McDavid, Eichel, Hanafin etc. will be drafted in our entry draft. We then sign our players to contracts similar to NHL contracts, and we have free agency each year, so teams can really improve through the draft, free agency, or through trades.

We are heading into our second year, and the first year was a success, although there were some hiccups, and we lost a few teams. We are expecting to have a great second year after learning and tweaking some of the things we did in the first year. We have 5 teams available right now, so take a look on our website at http://gmhl.org. The teams that are currently available are Colorado, Montreal, Winnipeg, Washington and Toronto. Take a look at there rosters, and I will hand out the teams on a first come first serve basis.
