NHL based re-rate league currently in the middle part of season 11.
Long time FHL league that made the switch to STHS this season. We are using the v2 software, but simming with v1.1 for the time being.
We sim two seasons for every one NHL season.
We have our own dynamic rating formula that 'grades on a curve'. This means that the impact of a player who had a truly standout statistical season, say 60 goals, won't be marginalized by a rating formula that rates 50 goals as a 99sc.
In addition, we utilize a '50/50' rating formula for each odd numbered season. 50% of the rating is based on the prior season, while the remaining 50% is based on the new NHL season up to that point; usually the half way point of the NHL season.
We employ a three-round split draft (odds/evens) in order to maximize the fun and excitement of having a draft every off season.
