Well Established Retro League With 2 Openings

My name is Mike and I am the Commish/Owner/Operator of the World Hockey League. We are a retro league established in 2004. While we have gone through a reboot or two, we began this current incarnation in 2008 with the 1994-95 season and now enter the 1997-98 season. We have a great group of core GMs who have been with the league since 2004.

We are a 23 team league currently and are expanding to a 24th team in this coming off-season. We operate with a pro salary cap and will be moving to a unique free agent system for the '98-'99 season. This is also one of the few leagues out there where the Commish endeavours not to operate a team in the league. We have a few fun unique features including Pro Line betting every week and a GM reward system based on winning pro lines, writing articles etc.

We have begun our first year in the STHS world using the newest version 2.04 on the 1.1 sim engine. The two team we have open are the Boston Bruins and the Philadelphia Flyers.

The Bruins are a legit contender and are in a tough battle with the Leafs for the Northeast Division Crown. They boast such names as: Adam Oates, Theo Fleury, Jari Kurri, Al MacInnis and Mike Vernon to go along with a youth base of Kris Draper, Owen Nolan & Jeff O'Neill.

The Flyers on the other hand are a team in need a a lot of love and care not to mention some hard work. They are currently last in the league and have little in the cupboard draft wise. They do have a few nice young talents to build around: Alexei Yashin, Danny Briere & Maxim Afinogenov.

We are searching for quality GMs who pay particular attention to their game rosters INCLUDING the farm, as it is a important part of developing the youth in the league. If you are active and are interested in a great retro league, please get in contact with me.
