FO stat and defensemen

I guess this is a question for Simon...

I am going to be doing my own rating for Faceoffs, well at least working on it...

My question is, both forwards and defensemen have the FO stat - how does this stat affect dmen, including OV? I realize OV has even less to do with STHS then it did in FHL but it is still a quick way that owners want to use to sum up a players ability.

So if I give all dmen a FO rating of 1, will that kill their OV or any performance related stat? Giving dmen a rating of (PC+PA)/2 would give them a huge advanage, stat wise, over a forward who actually takes face offs but just sucks at it.

Guess this all leads to a follow up question - if the player on the ice with the highest FO stat is a dman, will the sim let the dman take the face off or does it only look at the forwards on the ice to decide?

The FO doesn't really affect the OV and when it does, it's very tiny.

The center always take the face-off unless he's eject from faceoff.
