Player Positions

Post by Canucks1000 »

Ok here's a question I have:

Our Commissioner told me that Have players at the wrong forward position would not hurt their output, due to the fact he had it set so you only had to have 1 of each position on your team. Now I noticed my teams offensive output was pretty crappy, so i'm wondering if this is true or not.

Will I have more chemsitry and generate more offense if I have a Left Wing, a Center and a Ring Wing, instead of Two Right Wings and a Center?

Because at the beginning of our season he wouldn't change my players positions based upon this fact, despite the fact he had some players listed as the wrong position.

Thanks.

*Edit* Also, is there anyway that people can set the positions for their own players rather than the person running the actual sim having to do it for them? Thanks!

If the option "Forward Play All Positions" is activated, there is no difference having 3 RW on same line. But if the option is not activate, they will be a lost of abilities for players not abilities at their regular position.

Could we have an idea of what is the loss of abilities? 10%, 20%...?

Does STHS account for the "handindness" of a player? -or does it assume that if a player is a "RW" that he's right-handed?

So if a defenceman is right-handed, will he play better on the right side? Will his skills be diminished otherwise?

Also, on the powerplay is there any adjustment for a defenceman playing "off'wing", in that he can get a one-time off faster?

Thanks,

Jer

There is no "handindness" in the simulator.

For powerplay, it's a STHS Secret also.

Thanks Simon.

I realize you don't want to give too much away - but does the sim take ANY consideration of whether a player is right or left handed, particularly on the powerplay?

Thanks,

Jer

It's been said more than once before... There are no such things as "lefties" and "righties" in STHS.
