STHS v2 Web Portal is Released
Hey guys, just letting you all know that STHS v2 Web Portal for the SimonT Hockey Simulator version 2 is officially released.
It's been a long six months but I got it up and running at a satisfactory level. Take a tour of the http://nhl.simhl.net site and go to http://www.simhl.net to watch the videos, read the documentation and purchase your copy today.
I'll be sure to write updates on the front page all the time about what I'm working on for future versions, my thoughts and comments from around the community.
Edit by Simon : Please note you must use version 0.9.10 of the STHS or higher with the STHS v2 Web Portal.
Thanks again for all your support.

Re: STHS v2 Web Portal is Released
I have a league that does not want to go to the Version 2 of the sim just yet, but after seeing the version 2 of the portal was just wondering if we will get some type of graphical update for the version 1.

If we have the web Portal V1, do we get access to the download, or do we have to pay again ?

I think he said because of the amount of work involved to re-do almost all of the code that you would have to pay again for the version 2.starfrit wrote:If we have the web Portal V1, do we get access to the download, or do we have to pay again ?

Very nicely made, I like it a lot. I do want to know something though. I was browsing around that portal, looking at the new features and whatnot and I was wondering, Are those the new 09-10 ratings? They seem to be accurate and was wondering if they came out yet and are ready to download?

I feel stupid just asking this, but what exactly is the web portal? What does it do? Is it:
-just fancy web pages (I mean no disrespect in this)
-allow GMs to make changes to lines via web browser rather than client
-something different
Sorry... just a little lost here.

The Web Portal was created to give league a more refined and interactive web site where GM's can do a little more than just play with the client.ICHL Commish wrote:I feel stupid just asking this, but what exactly is the web portal? What does it do? Is it:

So yes it is a fancy web site.
NO, GM"s can't do their lines on the web portal, but they can upload them there.
And yes it is something different to just a plain html site.
Example:
Plain html Index page: http://www.internethockeyleague.com/sths/IHL-Index.html
Web Portal page: http://www.internethockeyleague.com/sim ... php?team=0
These are both for the same league. Which would you prefer to use ?

I have not migrated the sim or protal to version 2 yet. Was just giving him a example of the difference between a simple html page and the web portal.Violent Ed wrote:And this example is the V2 portal?
