Standings Tie-Breaker

Post by Eric_Schooners »

Hi Simon. I've searched the forums and the manual and I haven't found an answer yet, hope you can help.

I saw in one post you linked to the rules on NHL.com -- tie-break goes to the team with the most wins (discounting shootouts), then head-to-head record, finally goal differential. I'm assuming that goes for the "Use New Tie Breaker Rules" function in the sim. But what are the old rules? Is the only difference that shootout wins are also counted, or are there other differences? A comprehensive update to the manual would be very helpful.

Thanks!

The only difference is the win column check. The new rules only check Regular Win and OT Win. The old rules check Rugular, OT and SO win.
