Lessee...

But seriously, if the GMs want to reveal their player's jersey numbers, they can do it in their league's forum. That way, the commissioner won't have to go through the bother of changer every number every time. What's their importance in the simulator if they're absolutely useless, anyways?

lvhq said: (roughly)
Even simpler...

No jersey numbers in the sim, thus no number to be retired nor any numbers to change by either GM or commissioner. :D

If it's added, it should be done as an option only! Personnaly, I'm tired of entering all those hundreds of numbers manually, lol! So if the option is there, well... it has to be an option!!!

Personnally, I'd prefer to have jersey numbers, although I could live without them.

Lol! I don't care either way... I wouldn't be sad to see them disappear!

If the GMs can decide the jersey numbers in the Client, the Commish does not have to change them manually. (=

But I will buy STHS even with or without the jersey numbers! (=

Thanks for the translation. (=

laving - don't be sad ;) I will add a function in the CMSSL for Admin who want to put jersey number to her player ;) You will just need to enter it manually!

I know our league keeps track of jersey numbers worn (including an all-time jersey list like in many NHL Media Guides.) I would strongly suggest that this feature be added within an early update, and like others so the GM can add them. Just think how many people identify a player by their number (99, 66, 88, 9, etc.) so there is a legitimate reason why jersey numbers would be important in a sim.

***

Vince, I believe we are all asking that the number change be possible in the GM Editor as well, so GMs can make the changes as they wish rather than having the Commish do all the work.

******

I'm bumping this. Aesthetically, jersey numbers would add another element to the history of the league. As a league ages, GMs would like to retire numbers to further get some more history for there teams, but there are none to retire. It would also be nice if retirement could be done in the sim. As a way to take a burden off of a commish, the option to allow a GM to edit there own teams jersey #s would be best as well.

Jersey numbers are nice but not as important as to have a great sim with no bugs. All this will do is add another column for no real reason. I have lived with for 2 season and don't see the need for numbers.

Does everyone want them to show up in the box scores also ? Goal scored by # 87 Sidney Crosby ???????????
