Lines problem after simulation

Post by JimToupet »

It's not the first time I post this message. I believed it was a passing problem but is not. That's don't affect every GM but about 1/3 to 1/2 of them.

Many of my GM complains about lines problem.

Here's what I see :

- Never happen in v2. Start since the start of the new season in v3.
- If a GM make lines for day 1 only, rosters and lines are not carry over the next day (for those who have the problem)
- Using Copy All Rosters and Copy All Lines help on short term on most but if they forgot to do it one day, the problem came back
- Using the Webclient make this happen 100% of the time for any GM.
- Happens with any version of the Client (not only on one specific version)

For me that's a bug. I can say where the bug sit : simulator, client, league file data corruption, etc...

Anyone have this kind of problem in their league ? Maybe that would help to point out the cause.

Did you look at the transaction log to search for "for next game are empty. Current rosters/lines are not erased." key word?

Now almost everyone do the Copy All Roster and Copy All Lines thing.

I ask to my GM to stop doing it for a couple of day to have data to play with it and helping to resolve the issue.

I'll post back any detail.

Then the Team where you see them, the lines didn't change at all because they were nothing to roll over.

The problem it's not that. This is the expected behavior.

The problem is when there's this message :
lines for next game are NOT empty. Current pro rosters/lines are moved and might impact farm rosters/lines.
This message occur usually when you set rosters/lines for upcoming games and works well for those who do that. But for many of my GMs who set rosters/lines only for game 1 that message occur. Every day/game they have to made rosters/lines moves (on same players time after time).

If they click Copy All Rosters/Lines the problem is resolve for a short period of time or until they forget to do it, if they forgot to send their lines for a game, it's start over again.

If someone made is line with the Web Client. It's worst. All players, except few, are going pro scratched or sent down.

It's look like something is wrong with their lines file (all different client version), the copy rosters/lineup algorithm, the league files, no matter what. It's like if there's a false state about upcoming games rosters are used or something around that.

It's something new since this year. This is our 3rd season with STHS and we never have this before switching to v3.

It's been a while since I touch this. Are you available to reproduced the issue clearly with 1 team? The lines are not roll over correctly like you hope?
