3.3.9 - Edit Playoff Schedule

I am using Version 3.3.8.8.

I created a new league file for an off-season tournament for my league. There are only 6 teams, all in one division.

I created a short round-robin (regular season) schedule for them in the normal method, all good.

Once the round-robin/season ended, my settings were that all 6 teams make the playoffs, with the top 2 getting byes. The series would be best of three.

When STHS generated the schedule the format was the higher seed getting Game 1 and 2 at home, with the lower seed getting Game 3 at home. I wanted to change this to our preferred format (HAH for the higher seed).

I was unable to export to edit (no option), so I tried to manually edit the schedule within STHS.

If I moved games Up By 1 or Down By 1 using the buttons it will sometimes delete a game it moves around. Even on export the schedule shows as that game deleted.

If I click each game and manually change the DAY # (which is fine for a small schedule), I can have all the games playing on the correct days but the VERIFY SCHEDULE or SAVE option tells me the GAME #s are in the incorrect order (they are) but I am also unable to change them (no editable options for GAME #).

We lived with the format for this tournament, but it would be nice and potentially easier to be able to export to csv like the regular season schedule. However the bug with the buttons may be more impactful to others.

What happen with team 4, 5 and 6?

Team 1 and 2 get byes (not in schedule) as expected.

When I edit for Team 3 v Team 6 and Team 4 v Team 5, the above bug occurs.

In the image below I clicked on Game 11 and selected Up By 1.



In the image below is the result, Game 11 disappears.



If I manually assign a day, nothing disappears, however the Game #s are non sequential so it does not pass validation.

I saved a copy of the league file in this state if you would like me to e-mail for review.

Are you using a best of 3 game, 2 out 3 games?

Hi. All the code in this section was not design in mind where games are skip. I don't think I'll be able to fix it. I can make the STHS to block you from being able to edit the schedule by the GUI when it's missing games.

But I did improve the Schedule for Playoff when the Number of Game per Round is 3. Before 3.4.0, the highest seed would have home game 1 and 2. Now, highest seed get game #1, lowest seed get game #2 and highest seed get final game #3.
