RC 0.9.5 - Sim Terminology
Just found another one that may need to be checked.
In the shootout:
Penalty Shot by Daymond Langkow for New York Islanders - Shot Misses Goalie
Does it mean shot misses the goaltender or shot misses the net ?
Because if the shot misses the goaltender you would think it would be a goal as the tender is usually in front of the net, But if the shooter shoots wide then yes, it would miss the net.
Thanks

I've always interpreted this as missing the net completely

Yeah... but I also never heard the "goalies" called "goalers" either...

I think its implied that if it misses the goalie, that it also missed the net, or else it would say goal.

Basicly the question is: Does the player aim the net or the goalie?
As far as I remember, players always aimed the net not the goalie so IT IS miss the net... Cuz you miss what you were aiming.

Dont get me wrong, I definitely agree that it SHOULD say "misses the net." I am just saying that I think that's what they mean when they say "misses the goalie." I have never said miss the goalie unless I was aiming at him, which only happens during warmups when our goalie needs to be brought down a peg or two lol

I knowwwww lol, I agree with you, I'm saying that I think it is worded wrong in the output, and that it SHOULD say misses the net.
