Hey guys, a few questions and concerns.

Post by apedawg »

I am think of switching from FHL Sim to this one. FHL sim has pissed me off too many times. Time after time after time after time etc. I was wondering a couple of things.

First of all, I have Vista Home premium. (which I hate)

1. Do we get 07-08 rosters? or do we make them ourselves? I read somewhere we do.

2. has there been any known bugs with Vista Home Premium? I searched and I found nothing. Maybe I missed something?

3. Is there some kind of skin? it seems kinda bland lol.

4. Whenever I go to Output options and/or League Options I get this error:
Component 'TABCTL32.OCX' or one of its dependencies not correctly registered: a file is missing or invalid.

I downloaded the support files, I tried putting replacing the file in the system32 folder. I still have this same error. Any ideas?

Thanks guys, if this simulator demo works fine, then I am buying this.

1) There are some available in the download section. You can always do your roster. If you do your roster, I can publish them for you with full credit.
2) If you correctly install the STHS Support Files as an administrator (You know, the Vista annoying popup)
3) Sadly no, I prefer to improved the program that play with the visual. :(

I was going to say I figured it out for the error thing. Now FHL sim works as well. It was a problem for both. What would you say would be better. Not because you created it. Well your opinion may be a little bias but nonetheless . FHL I got some many errors. Error after error after error. To the point it would take after Vista. You have left click allow or decline. In the sim it is like, you have tried to trade a player, error. Lol. What are the advantages to this sim then FHL?

Try mine, you'll switch like ton of old FHL users. Just take a look at the features lists. And don't forget that I give fast support and fix bugs!! My last build is not in 2004 like the FHL!

this really is the best thing you can do ...

STHS works #1 with Vista ( Vista is what i'm running now)
there is a pack of 07-08 rosters already done in the download section.

if the STHS BETA ..is more stable than the official release of FHL ..
why would you not use STHS ??
and is for whatever reason you get a error message or you find a
problem...at leat with STHS you problem will be fixed..

Lol, well, since FHLSim is also fixed, I might use that because I do not want to pay another 35 dollars, unless I can get a refund from FHL which I doubt... Also about the skin, do you know how to do it? I just like to see the simulator be flashy, to me, gray seems so lame lol, no offense. my last point is that why are the ratings so odd? Sullivan is a 68, Iginla is like a 73? Yonkman is a 78... Like to me, this is wierd.

1) I know how to do a skin but it would take too much time and effort. I prefer to improved the program.
2) The overall is not the same in the STHS that in the FHL.

Well to me, it seems to be a huge cap. Like a person is only 33 and he is a 68? Is there a way I can use my roster file in FHLsim but use it in STHS? For example, Forsberg is an 80 in FHL, is there a way to convert that same 80 to STHS? I tried the converter, but I had no luck.

The only way is to boost the players stats. I strongly suggest you read the manuel. The OV is nothing in the STHS and can hide completly. (From my point of view, it should always be hide!)

Between the FHL and the STHS, there is chance and the OV is big one.

Well is the OV in STHS means nothing, then how would you go about trading then? Don't you go by OV? According to the manual, you can migrate your .tms, .pct and .ros files. So wouldn't the OV carry over? Along with the other stats?

FHL have is own OV formula. I have my own OV formula that way different because I have more stats. You trade regarding of what you mean! You need a scorer, a passer, a defensif player, so on.

I hope you never check the ov to made a trade !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I use FHL during four years. The switch to the STHS are to best move we never made.
You could multiply by 3 all the option to control your league.

FHL ans STHS ..... no comparaison to do. FHL is the past. No more evolution for this sim in the future.

Like Simon said, read the manual, you find there all features (and you are finding a lot) you d'ont have with FHL.

With STHS:
- Made All Star Game
- Controle Finance
- Made offert to unassign players with the Client
- Could not allow player playing in line 1 and 2
- Could add rest day in schedule
- etc ....

And the most important, support online 7 days a week :)

A lot of feature you don't have in FHL .... for approx. the same price !!!!!

P.S. Sorry for the english, it's not my first language :(

Ok, I see. I was concerned about the Ov ratings because I found many good players were so low. But the formulas are different. Thanks guys.

Well what I am going to do is use my FHL rosters with STHS. Now, I want to carry everything over like OV ratings, salaries etc. I read in the manual, I tried a couple of different things and I have no luck. Do you have to manually do the stats for every player?
