A Little Guidance Please

Post by Violent Ed »

Hey all. I just got STHS and am planning to convert my FHL league over. I have read most of the posts about this issue, but not being computer savvy, alot of it went over my head. Now by no means am I computer illiterate. I guess what I'm asking for is someone who does not mind helping a STHS newbie commish.

Any help I receive will be greatly appreciated.

My e-mail address is: [email protected]
My MSN is: [email protected]

Once again, any help I get will be greatly appreciated.

OK. I have tried to migrate the files as prescribed. I get the players on the right teams but their stats seem to go to the original way they were. I also don't get the CSV and all that stuff. There was talk of combining files. I really do not understand.

I guess so. This is where I don't know. I have tried it but the files do not seem to be right.

I think I know what's wrong here... It's not your files SimonT, but the FHL files... Violent Ed, you have to update all the players in your FHL... The FHL is really not built well... It has sort of 2 databases... The real one (the one that you incorporate in the STHS) and the "everyday" database... When you edit a player's attribute, salary, height, etc. while taht player's playing with a team, it only changes the attribute in the "every day" DB... Do you know what I mean? It doesn't change ANYTHING to the REAL DB...

Now, you would ask me "what can I do to update my real FHL DB?!?!" Here's the funny part... The only way I found out is to release each and every player from each and every team and send them back in their teams afterwards... It's a really long task to do, but it really works.

I had the same problem... Damn FHL...

THuRSDay981, I build a new STHS Migration Utility (Version 1.1) that can read the ROS file so people does not have to do that. :)

I tried it with the ROS file and I got much better results. Playing around with it is helping me learn. Time to play some more.
