Roster Incomplete at 19 players

Fiddling around, trying to get familiar with the STHS V2 0-9-6.

On League Options -> Team page, settings are:

Pro Roster Limits:
Max players 22
Max goalies 2
Min centres 3
Min LW 3
Min RW 3
Min D 5

My understanding is that I can now dress *up to 22* players, but can dress 16 player and still fit the bare minimum.

Once outputted, I try the Client.

Client says that my roster is incomplete with anything less than 20 players, and will not allow me to save lines.

The manual says "To have a complete roster a team must have minimum 20 healthy players on their pro roster including positional minimums which are set by the commissioner in the 'League' - 'League Options' menu. You can verify whether or not your team's roster is 'complete' in the top right hand corner of the team roster window."

Why does it allow me to set minimums, but then force 20 healthy players? In a cap world, this is difficult to manage... I have many teams that like to dress 19 or 18 players sometimes.

Does a team HAVE to play 20 players every game?

Note the Flames at the end of the 2008-2009 season dressing only 17 a few of the end games as an example.

Minimum is 18 players + 2 goalies.
Maximum is 25 players + 3 goalies.

P.S. Players Limit exclude goalies.

It's hardcode like that.

Par contre, c'est vrai que si on veux vraiment utiliser le plafond salarial comme il est programmé dans la V2, on devrait pouvoir jouer avec 19 joueurs, même si le maximum est 20, car ça se fait dans la vraie vie. Parfois les équipes n'auront pas le choix rendu à la fin de la saison pour ne pas arriver en haut du plafond. Sinon, ça ne sert à rien, comme les salaires différents à chaque saison si le sim ne calcule pas le cap hit (moyenne des années de contrats) pour le plafond, car le fait de donner moins à la fin d'un contrat ne sert qu'à pouvoir racheter un contrat à rabais.

Correct. Maximum 28 dressed (25 players + 3 goalies)
