Team running out of money in the bank?

Post by ynohtna »

What happens if the GM can't generate enough revenue to pay his team and eventually runs out of money? Does it's screw up the sim or does he simply go into negative money. Do the players stop playing cause they have no cheques? :D

20 pop up boxes, wonderful... yea non critical errors would be nice to just log them in the transaction log and that's it.

A team current fund under 0 is something critical for me.

yea maybe when team funds drop below 2million or other value you specify to have a warning... but afterwards, the guy may take some time to be able to turn things around. We don't need a reminder each time we run the sim. As commish, we have to monitor the situation and make sure things turn around. We only need to be aware once I guess.

Sorry but I don't have a "warn once function".

I create "feature" when it's good for everyone, not 1-2 leagues.

I should've been a beta tester :) At least the total pro/farm salary cap number was in the V1 client!

How they think a GM, in a salary capped league, can manage his roster effectively with today's client is unknown. Today:
  • He has to check the website for the most recent salary information
  • He has to write it down or something, and then have a calculator ready or something
  • he has to click into the player he think about moving to see the salary
  • go back out of the player view to move the player if he wants.
  • make his calculations while tracking each player moved from pro to farm and vice versa.
Anyways, I'm not saying you have to put something for salary information. I'm talking generally now and the above was just an example since it's the topic here.

I'm just saying that in general you want the game to be easy not cumbersome and it's the GMs that are the most important! No GM, no league... Ease of use is what draws more people to use the simulator. Not everyone is hardcore sim fan, but a lot of people would be more willing to try it if the workload is less.

Just my 2cents.
