downloading GM files

I'm sure this may have come up before, so I'm sorry if this is a duplicate question, but I couldn't seem to find it on the forum anywhere.

Basically I'm using windows 7, downloaded the sim to my desktop, but anytime our commish gives us the GM files, I download them also to the desktop but the sim doesn't recognize them. I'm no computer wizz, so I won't be surprised if this is something quite simple that I'm doing wrong, but does anyone have any suggestions?

What do you mean doesn't recognize them? If you want to open them, you need to open the STHS Client and from there, click open to open a file.
