SIMHL.net releases 08-09 NHL and AHL ratings
Ok guys, this time of year again. Thanks to the helper monkeys, we re-rated the entire NHL.
But.... thats not all. We re-rated the entire AHL as well.
Lots of data entry has goine into this. I would say we put in over 50 hours of data entry and research. You can view all of the Microsoft Excel sheets online so you can see how your player got his rating. All players are subject to the same rules and charts so its not personal opinion.

DOWNLOAD Excel CSV file to import into STHS:

We'll make a minor adjustment after the awards are handed out.If you want to see a complete look at the players ratings and you don't want to open the Excel sheets, use the link below.

Now I simmed a sample season just to see how the players turned out. There is no injuries and I put auto lines on for the entire season, but it gives you a general idea on the results.

We will release an updated version as soon as the NHL awards show is over in early June. Thanks again for the support.

Last years set had coaches csv also, are you planning to do a coach set for this year ?
Re: SIMHL.net releases 08-09 NHL and AHL ratings
Hi
Thanks for this wonderful rating!
I took it last year and it went really well.
I just have a suggestion for you guys, the defense are doing too many points compared to real NHL. Maybe next year you can lower a bit their ratings.
BTW the link is now broke (the one with all the rating in html).

For the d-man getting too many points, I think this has to do with the sim more than the ratings sets. I have tested multiple sets and find d-man always seems to have a high point total at the end of the season.lhsqf wrote:Hi

Now that the awards have been handed out and the penguisn won the cup, I have the final release of the ratings.
We tweaked the defense rating so that the puck control influenses the dense. So defensive defensemen that ranked in the 90s because of the incredible defensive stats this season could have their defense rating drop a bit if their puck control is low.

Thank you, Mike...as always, your hard work is greatly appreciated!
I've noticed one player in particular may have to be severely altered...Bryan Allen isn't likely an elite D in the league. He only played 2 games, and I believe he was prorated based on those two games. I'll keep my eyes open for any others. So far they look great, though!
