Auto made roster + fatigue

Post by Znapstar »

Bonjour!

Merci beaucoup.

For your # 2-

League options, Options # 1 Tab
Adjust the goaltenders level 1 & 2.

This will help the goaltender get tired more quickly and force teams to play the back-up more.

In my league i also have a rule that states the back-up MUST play as least 900 minutes (About 15 full games).

Good idea. May I know what values are you using? (shots received + removed)

This is what i have been using the last few seasons. Those stats were also based on the DVHL rates.
Since the DVHL rates were not available this year (At least not yet) I am using the SIMHL rates. They seem to test about the same in my test seasons.

These are only guide lines based on my league. You may need to tweak them to give the desired results in your own league.

Having rules like forcing teams to play their back-up a certain amount of minutes (While not realistic in the NHL) forces GM's to submit lines and get the back-ups in more games. This creative activity as well.
I found that 900 minutes (15 games) seemed reasonable. I used the trade deadline as a check point in the season to see where teams goaltending minutes were at. Any team that was looking to not have the back-up play the required minuted had their starting tender suspended for the amount of games that was needed. An example in the GOHL had a play-off team starting the play-offs with their starter suspended because they refuse to play the back-up during the season. And i would have to say his play-off ended quickly.
