Odd question - can the sim run an unbalanced conference setup? For example, can we generate a schedule that will allow us to have one conference with 13 teams and the other with 12 or does it have to balance between conferences?

You can generate a schedule with unbalance conference. Heck, you can create a schedule with 3 divisions of 8 teams in 1 conference and 2 division of 3 team in the other conference. ;)

Actually, I don’t think there is a scenario you cannot do. ;)
