Supported or reported working FTP servers?

Post by dechl »

Hello Simon and fellow Commishs

I understand that not all ftp servers support Simon's .net implementation in the sths sim but has ANYONE gotten it to work with ANY ftp server? I've gone through 3 now... all of which will 'pass' the test if you only try to go to the root but fail if you actually try to get files from there or point to any other folder.

I use the 'portal' so I am stuck on a linux box. If anyone has the ftp connection working against a linux host can you let me know what ftp server is implemented and working?

Thanks,

Alec

seems to be working on a ehost I think. I borrow an old friends account and I created a bfhl folder for the lines files to save to.

Thanks... do either of you know WHICH ftpd they run?

I run my own web servers for this.... I've got a really kludgy hack in place right now (Microsoft FTP server in front passing connection through to the linux box) but would like to eliminate the need for that!
