NHL AHL Skaters Goalies 2013

Post by laving »

NHL and AHL ratings available for free at:

http://www.swe-hl.com/ratings/NHL_AHL_S ... s_2013.rar

Special thanks to the GMs in SWE Hockey League and Live Hockey League, who helped me put in the needed stats in this database.

Information:

* Includes every skater and goalie that played at least 1 game in NHL and/or AHL during the 2012-2013 season. (Yes, it also includes players that were loaned in to an AHL team just to play only one game).

* Every single skill in this database is based on statistics from the 2012-2013 season. No judging at all has been made. With that said, you may not agree on some of the players ST and SK. Well, you may not agree on the others too, but... :D (NHL.com does not publish any stats about strength and speed. We used the stats that were "near", in one way or another).

* Does not include any coaches.

* Does not include any referees.

* "NHL_AHL_Skaters_Goalies_2013" Does not include specific birth day. Every player has the correct birth year, but the birth day is set to 31st of december to every player.

* "NHL_AHL_Skaters_Goalies_2013_with_birthdays" includes every players birthdays.

* Does not include any duplicates, since the players were sorted by last name during the creation of this database. But you should know that some player names can be spelled in a different way in this database, compared to your old database. ("Alex" Ovechkin, Martin "St-Louis", etc).

How to totally avoid duplicates:

1. Make a backup of your STHS League File.

2. In the Output Options in your league, make sure you do NOT output all players in Unassigned.

3. Run the rating update.

4. Activate all prospects.

5. Output the pages Unassigned, Roster, and Prospects.

6. Load the league file that has not run the ratings update.

7. Check the Unassigned list, that you outputted. All the players that have their name spelled in a different way from your old database, will be on the Unassigned list. So check that the players on the Unassigned list, isn't on the Prospect list or in the Rosters. (search: ctrl+F). Different spelling on the first name is the most common reason why your league has duplicated players, so search by LAST name. In case you find a player on the Unassigned list AND Rosters/Prospects, change his name in your league to the exact name you see on the Unassigned list. When you're done with the whole Unassigned list:

8. Run the rating update again.

9. Activate all prospects again.

10. Your done.

I have the right birth days too, in the formulas of this database. But as my own league uses 31st of december on every player, the database looks that way.

I guess I can make two tweeks in the formula, and generate a database file with the correct days. But not today. Maybe in the near future. I'll post here... =)

Updated, since I discovered a typing error on Nazem Kadri. He had only 2 assist inputted in the formulas, istead of 26 which is the right number.

Simon? =)

Updated AGAIN...

Now the download includes a rating file WITH the correct birth days... But I haven't tested that file. Can anyone tell me if it's working?

Josh Bailey is born 1984 in these rating files. The correct year is 1989.

I'll post here when I update the files.
