Create random players?

On the "About" page it states...

"the SimonT Hockey Simulator enables you to create random players and give them make believe player ratings."

However I don't think I have ever seen this option. You can't even start a new league without selecting a CSV file. Am I missing something or is this line just worded wrong?

It’s my way of saying you can create players rating yourself. Everyone is not stuck with one set of rating. Technically, you can simply go in Edit Players and create random players also. You just need to input value.

You might want to change that, as it's a little misleading.

I don't know lol.

It's the word "enables" that is kind of misleading, and if it is something that has to be done manually then it really isn't "random". It's kind of implying that there is an option within the program that will generate random players and attributes for them, not that you would have to create each individual player and their attributes manually.

Maybe state that within the program you have the ability to create your own players and provide them with attribute ratings, or something along those lines. But as it reads now, if I were a new customer, I would think that I could open the program and have it generate random players and attributes for them.

This is the one reason why I dont buy this game.

I wish it had a self contained system to create players for you. Should happen automatically buy the sim engine. And then you can go in and edit/replace players if you'd rather have real players.

im sorry but I dont understand that reason ..

just use a rating file that has already been done and edit it like you want.

using a rating set that has already been done is the same as the sim generating a random
set of ratings!

as for the random part ..if im not mistaking there is a 3rd party app that creates
random players you could also just use excel to create random ratings for players

I mean seriously ...the STHS program does almost everything you need to create
a good fantasy hockey league

if you dont want to buy it, that is fine, but please give us a better reason
