remove old players?

In the simulator (1.1.8 ) when a players contract expires they still show to be on the teams scratched list, although he doesn't have a contract. how do i 'refresh' the simulator so that all UFA do not appear with their old teams in the simulator?

Start your season or manually release them from their team.

We've started the season, but are still showing on the old teams roster (Scratched players) but has no contract.

RFA will still show there but UFA should go away if I remember correctly.

Wade Redden is still showing on the roster (scratched List) in the simulator but is an UFA and does not have a contract. Is there anyway to remove them (both RFA and UFA)?

The only option is to manually release them from their team.
