Modify an XML file

Didn't know where to post this, so I'm doing it here since it's related to the STHS CareerStat program.


For some reason, out of the 6 seasons I've simmed on STHS v1 or v2, there is one where my XML file does NOT feature the correct stats. What probably happened is that I outputed it at some point during the season and I probably forgot to do it at the end of the year.


Now, I want to use the CareerStats and I'm stuck with 5 seasons and a half and I wish to correct that.


I know nothing at all about coding, open source stuff or even databases for that matter. I tried to update it through Excel, but after I went through 40-50 guys, I decided to stop, save and check. I didn't work and my CareerStats program gave me the following error :

If anyone could help me out on this one, I'd greatly appreciate.

This error happen when you try to open a V1 XML files. Are you able to find out what season XML exactly is not working?

Sure.

It's my 12th season. The one with incomplete stats. Which is why I tried to modify it using Excel. And it appears I do not know how to modify a XML file because it won't work with the CareerStats program now.
